THE Monofin Video
July 13, 2007 in Video by Jorg Jansen
I’ll keep it short today, as it’s my birthday. So I guess my family would like me to see me with them, instead me sitting behind the computer.
After I saw the following video I was really amazed about how easy and beautiful Peter Pedersen’s 200 meter world record dive looked like. It was also the first time I was convinced of the efficiency of the monofin if you master the technique correctly. This video is still high on my personal “best freediving clips ever” list. Enjoy! Oh and the music comes from the movie the Matrix and fits very nicely with it.

I received the press release below about the US National Freediving Championships that will take place in Hawaii from April 22-25. Looks like it’s going to be an interesting competition, so if you’re in the neighborhood, go for it! US National Freediving Championship set for April 22 through 25, 2010 at Freedive Paradise event.
AIDA International has a new website and a new web address. It is not yet made public on the old website. Probably because it’s still work in progress. But it is already looking to good for not mentioning it here.
